I've just seen an Apple Press release, indicating that Linux is being ported to
the power mac platform. The port is being done by OSF, and will run on the Mach
microkernel. The source code to both the mach microkernel, and the power mac
platform drivers will be made publically available. There is already an early
prototype, which was demonstrated at the announcement, at the Conference on
Freely Redistributable Software held in Cambridge.
