tex.m68k-apple-netbsd1.1.tar.gz is 10Mb.
This is the README_TeX:
15 January 1995
The TeX Package.
----------------
To install:
cd /
zcat tex.m68k-apple-netbsd1.1.tar.gz | tar xvf -
Creates/adds /usr/local/bin&man&lib&info&share
Was compiled with the sources (using gcc-2.7.2):
base.tar.gz
dviljk-2.5.tar.gz
dvipsk-5.58f.tar.gz
web-6.1.tar.gz
web2c-6.1.tar.gz
web2c.kpathsea-2.6.help
xdvik-18f.tar.gz
web2c.kpathsea-2.6.help is in fact a help/patch file.
It contains the latest latex2e,
version 6.9 of the TeX/LaTeX inputs, fonts etc.
groff-1.10.tar.gz has been added, in order to be
able to read the man pages.
You should have some 40Mb free to install this
package.
To maintain it, get "The LaTeX Companion",
Goosens, Mittelbach and Samarin. Addison-Wesley,
ISBN 0-201-54199-8
You can generate Postscript as well as the
HP PCL language. See the man pages on dvips,
dvilj.
Xdvi works on my Mac II with the X.11Mar95.tgz
release.
You should edit the /etc/man.conf file, so that
man finds /usr/local/bin/groff&nroff and also
the man pages in /usr/local/man.
No guarantees, whatsoever. (it fills your harddisk).
Regards,
Marc
