It definitely does work on some IIci's.  Some IIci's have problems with
the 1.1 kernels that no longer appear in -current.  I am of the opinion
that the problem is just masked, but so far it's only appeared on the
IIci.  :-(  One or two people have started to look at this, I think.
I'm not sure, though.

I've not heard of any failing right on the first scroll, though.
