Has anyone run NetBSD 1.1 on a Mac IIsi? I'm not having much luck. I've
successfully installed all the binaries (except games11) from the late
November release, and it boots up to the line:

>Enter Pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:

When I hit RETURN, I imediately get:

>Kernal Illegal Instruction trap.
>trap type 2, code = 0, v= 0
>Kernal:  Illegal instruction trap
>pid=4, pc=0x00000028, ps=0x00002008, sfc=0x00000001, dfc=0x00000001
>Registers: (lots of stuff)
>Kernal stack (00a76d64): (lots of stuff)
>panic: Illegal instruction
>Stopped at    _Debugger+0x6:  unlk  a6
>db>

When I do a trace within db, I get:

>_Debugger(14e90,8f73c,a73f50,2,a73f80) + 6
>_panic(8f73c,e,100,5,ffffffff) + 34
>_trap(2,0,0) + 1c2
>fault() + c

When I try the for.paul kernal on puma, as suggested by Mr. Briggs, I get
the following trace:

>_Debugger(1556c,98694,a7fd24,2,a7fd54) + 6
>_panic(98694,0,0,251ca,a7ff88) + 34
>_trap(2,0,0) + 1c2
>fault(785c00,a7ff88,a7ff80) + c
>_syscall(36) + 13a
>_trap0() + e

I've already mailed this info to Mr. Briggs, but I was just wondering if
anyone else has gotten 1.1 to run successfully on a IIsi, or if anyone can
give me any suggestions. Unfortunately, I don't understand what those
errors mean, so don't even know what to look for.

My system: 68030 IIsi, 17M RAM (1M for internal video, so I tell NetBSD I
have 16M), NuBus Adapter w/FPU, 40M internal (MacOS) drive, 105M external
(NetBSD) drive.

Thanks for your time.

    Tim
