Is there any logic why i've got a (big) difference in speed between dialin-ppp
and ppp-internet??

               Supra 14k4/28k8 ZyXEL 19k9
               38400 38400
whatever IIsi 5/230 IIvx 8/320
+------+ +------+ +------+
|client+--ppp--+ BSD* +--ether--+ BSD* +--ppp--Internet
+------+ +------+ +------+
                                         3.1k/s <--------- source
         0.7k/s <----------------------------------------- source

      BSD* = NetBSD-current w/ net.inet.tcp.rfc1323 = 0

Could that difference come from the difference in machines,
(3.9 versus) 5 versus 7 mips???
Different brand of modems??
Different serial-hardware implementation?
I still made a setup-error??
Or is this realistic?
ThanX,
~n
