That's the military use of an AWACS, but it could be used to supplement an
area's radar traffic control, such as if an aiport had it's radar go out,
you could use an AWACS to replace it for a while, and get far better range
too.  Yes, AWACS are old too.

So what's an AFAIK?  The chip he was trying to talk about?
