Hi... I am making slight progress with the LC (accellerated)

Here is the booter output, copied down by HAND! I think I got everything.

Booting... MID_M68K executable: entry 0x1818
Malloced 983192 bytes
657872 (0x0)_51624+102232+43464+45856

Set _boothowto to 0x2.
envbuf - buf = 906732 (0xdd5ec).
  Bye-bye...
So I sez to him... The real way
that it should be done is to ...
Ser Console = 0

Set _mac68k_vrsrc_cnt to 0x0.

Set _mac68k_vrsrc_vec to {0x0 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x0 }.

And there it hangs!!! I have figured out a few things from all this
though... it IS getting out of the booter, because I accidentally left a
MacOS Zip disk mounted and it ejected, which means that the booter got
the shutdownstart called.

My system is less than ideal for setting this up... the NetBSD partition
is a 44Mb syquest drive. I know it is formatted correctly, I followed
the Syquest-HOWTO very carefully. My mac is a plain old LC, but it has a
Daystar 68030 accellerator card (with PMMU and FPU)

WHen it hangs, I hear the internal hard drive seek for a second or so (I
assume its the end of the shutdown procedure) but the SyQuest never makes
a sound, so I am not sure how much of the kernel has been loaded.

I'd like to play with compiling the kernel. My shell account is on a
Sparc 5 running SunOS. I can use gcc, but I have no idea how to compile
for another system. I have the current sys/* directory tree on the
system. I deleted most of the arch stuff, except of course for the Mac,
because it was wasting disk space.

Can anyone give me some ideas?

thanks
Scott
