You may want to check out the beta of Booter 1.9 that is in
/pub/NetBSD/booter on puma.bevd.blacksburg.va.us. It includes some tidying-up
of error messages and a few structural changes and bug fixes. i.e., it is not
the new booter extraordinaire yet. I would appreciate it if the intrepid folk
who do such death-defying feats such as running -current, writing video
drivers, etc., on a regular basis would try this copy of Booter 1.9 so that I
can figure out if anything is still lacking in it before I release it for
real (if it turns out to be pretty bug-free, I'll most likely release it
as-is.) Source is included, which should be a clue for you: if you would
consider giving me patches along with your bug reports, I'll probably be much
more prompt about getting them fixed.

Some change requests that I have heard, and noted, and which I AM going to
give serious thought to, but which probably won't make it into 1.9 (but, as
always, if there is enough clamoring I might hack them in anyway...):
 * Getting rid of "RAM Size" box and using Auto RAM Size all the time, because
   it's the Right Thing to Do (and advice to set the RAM size below reality is
   outdated; and also, it's getting crowded in that silly dialog box.)
 * Option to save a text-file configuration log when booting, suitable for
   inclusion in bug reports etc.

And here's one I am dreading:
 * Making sure it's 6.0.x-compatible. Is this really necessary? I need input.
