I'm trying to load the 1.1 kernel with the Booter (1.8), but the process
stops rather suddenly. The console read:

Booting...Boot error: Bad format

This is what I did:

    1) I downloaded the netbsd11 file (from various places) in binary
          format.
    2) I gunzipped the file and got a file named "netbsd11".
    3) I moved Booter 1.8 into the same folder as netbsd11.
    4) I configured Booter 1.8 to get the kernel off of a MacOS partition
and told it to look for "netbsd11".
    5) I selected "Boot Now" from the menu.

I have NOT repartitioned my hard drive yet...I just wanted to test the
integrity of the files I downloaded by doing as much as I can from the
MacOS.

The Booter didn't recognize the 1.1 release.

I tried it earlier with the ADB test kernel by John Wittkoski and the
booter did recognize his kernel snapshot as being in the correct format
and gave all the debugging info that I expected.

Is there something more I could try?
