It won't help you boot.  It will only help you within NetBSD.  I know
this because my IIsi boots fine w/o an FPU.

The Duo 230 is just too different from the currently supported macs to
work.  I wish I could tell you otherwise.  If you're looking for a
version of Unix to run on the Duo 230, I can't suggest anything but
MacMiNT, and I don't know how Unix-like that is...
