Right.

Well, I made a right fool of myself yesterday. Serves me right for not
believing Allen the first time he told me it was the VIA stuff.

I am going to go crawling around the MacOS on my LCIII (and my dev CDs, I
guess) to see if I can crack the problem. However, it would be a great
help to me if anyone out there could build me a adb-test kernel (Wittkoski
kernel) with the VIA code simply hacked out, so I can boot my LC without
having to remove the ethernet card. I can then work in earnest. Or is
there a kernel variable I can set at boot time by doing a boot -sd?

Incidentally, if anyone out there has an ethernet card working on an LCIII,
then I am clearly on the wron track, and could they put me out of my
misery.

Yours apologetically (but heck, what's the bandwidth there for if not to be
wasted?)

Jules
