 The complaints are a Motifism, they happen on a home-compiled version.
It takes long to start because it uses postscrript type 1 fonts which 
are quite cpu/fpu-intensive. I hope regensburg has progressed since I last
looked there, they had 2.6b2 which was rather bugged.
