Hi!
After a few months, I tried again to run the newest kernels on my
LCIII (Clock chipped to 33MHz, 20MB Ram, 80MB IBM-WDS-L80 Disk for MacBSD)
I tried the kernel from snapshot as well as the GENERIC_40 and
WORMHOLE_27.
It booted fine to single user mode, using serial console !!!
Without serial console, it hanged at
mrg: 'Mac Classic II ROMs' rom glue....
adb: bus subsystem
I already tried the newest kernel from Walter Ruetten (see also my next
posting), unfortunately without success.
A further problem seems to be switching to multiuser mode. It all runs
well, until the moment where the 'login:' prompt should appear (it starts
network, daemons etc.). Then:
Sep 4 19:22:43 musicmac1 init: Kernel security level changed from 0 to 1
panic: kernel jump to zero
db>
This was the case for all kernels I tried. What could be the problem?
Please ask me, if you need further information (bootlogs etc.).
Peter
