   You can run a vme147 diskless with the port without any trouble.
If you look at the file src/sys/arch/mvme68k/README in the source tree 
that will give the full details of the current status of the port.   

   I am (and will be) very busy with "real work" for the next
couple of months so I don't expect to be making any major changes 
to the port anytime soon (unless someone else contributes them).
