I think most things should be interchangable without any problem. Exceptions
are (of course) programs that use architecture dependent devices.

I tried some mac and amiga binaries on my atari without problems. All my
X11R6 binaries and libraries were compiled for the amiga. I only had to
twiddle the Xserver a bit (other keymappings, different plane buffer 
organisation, etc.).

I don't know about hp300/sun3. One of them was using a different pagesize
I recall.
