The GENERIC kernel would stuck on boot. I found where the problem comes
from : the sound. If I turn off the sound card from motherboard in the
BIOS, NetBSD 4.0_RC5 is able to boot.

Any previous NetBSD version does not boot this machine (I use stable
versions and I tried 3.1)

Yes. I did boot boot1.fs then boot2.fs and did a FTP install using
ftp.fr.netbsd.org as repository.

Now it's working. I have sound turned off so the machine will not see
the kernel hang and I have compiled a GENERIC.MP kernel and it seems fine.

Thanks for your reply,
