Yes, I see this on a thinkpad t43p using NetBSD 3.99.8 and ACPI, and X 
from xsrc.

The problem seems to be more frequent when they system is under load, 
such as while starting applications. I'm not sure whether CPU or I/O is 
the main factor here, but I suspect I/O.

It's considerably more frequent than a couple of times a day for me.
