I don't see this behavior on my Sony PCD-GRX690.  Prior to the most 
recent import of ACPI code, however, poweroff left the machine in a 
state where it required all power to be removed before it would power 
back on again.  Now it works as expected.  ACPI_DISABLE_ON_POWEROFF 
made no difference for me.
