Hi

Since my NetBSD 2.0 box refuses to add packages with pkg_add I am 
making an assumption that I need to use passive ftp to install new 
software.

Looking into man pkg_add I see a few lines about this.  Says "set the 
variable FTP_PASSIVE_MODE to some value in your environment".  Being 
a simple sole I don't understand what this means.  

Can anyone explain where to put  FTP_PASSIVE_MODE  ?  Or, explain 
whichever value or syntax I need to put somewhere in order to allow 
pkg_add to install through my firewall.
