G'day,

any attempt to build a new release of NetBSD-current fails with the followi=
ng=20
error message when building the GENERIC kernel:

=2D-------------------------- 8< -----------------------------
=2E/build.sh -X xsrc release
[...]
/usr/src/newtools/bin/i386--netbsdelf-ld=20
=2DT /usr/src/sys/arch/i386/conf/kern.ldscript -Ttext c0100000 -e start -X =
=2Do=20
netbsd ${SYSTEM_OBJ} ${EXTRA_OBJ} vers.o
/usr/src/newtools/bin/i386--netbsdelf-ld: cannot open athhal-elf.o: No such=
=20
file or directory
=2D-------------------------- 8< -----------------------------

Source tree is synchron as of today.

/etc/mk.conf file contains the following relevant lines:

SDSRCDIR=3D/usr/src
BSDOBJDIR=3D/usr/src/newobj
USE_TOOLS_TOOLCHAIN=3Dno
TOOLDIR=3D/usr/src/newtools
DESTDIR=3D/usr/src/i386
RELEASEDIR=3D/usr/src/release
MKTOOLS=3Dyes
MKINFO=3Dyes
MKBFD=3Dyes
MKGDB=3Dyes
MKX11=3Dyes

A work around sofar was to copy the missing object file manually into the=20
kernel directories. The "Update" file doesn't reveal anything new to me. Wh=
at=20
am I missing?

cheerio Berndt
