Yes we were seeing this, and as Jukka says the problem came in with XFree 
4.4.0.

We were seeing it when DPMS was enabled and settings were 
	Standby: 0    Suspend: 1200    Off: 2700
and we made the problem go away by setting Standby to 1200.
