Subject: PowerEdge 6650 ahc Problem

Thought I'd report that I tried to install NetBSD onto a PowerEdge
6650 I have temporary access to. The attempt didn't work because,
although its single disk was detected correctly by the BIOS, it was
invisible to NetBSD. Presumably that was due to a SCSI controller
driver problem as evidenced by:

ahc2 at pci5 dev 1 function 0: Adaptec 3960D Ultra160 SCSI adapter
: unable to map registers
ahc3 at pci5 dev 1 function 1: Adaptec 3960D Ultra160 SCSI adapter
: unable to map registers

I booted from floppies created by building a release from CVS sources
from 7 February. I'll append the readable part of /kern/msgbuf to
this message.
