This can be either related to the display itself,
or a problem in shielding. Under Windows, my X30
did not do any noise, but IF the screen turned
off while I did not use the machine, the machine
itself did a little high-frequency noise, related
to the display but that only happened when the
LCD was off. So a component is doing noise when
the LCD is off as it gets the display power and
dissipates it.

Could just be a shielding problem but I remember
some noise when the LCD was off.

Also, when I'm using my lappy with wireless
turned on (under NetBSD) it seems to send
interferences to an old TV I have at home,
but that doesn't affect the new TV set. But
when I emit or receive huge chunks of data,
I see interference lines on the old TV...
