Hi,

Do you use the wsmouse protocol for the mouse under XFree ?

In your /etc/X11/XF86Config, you should have a line 'Option "Protocol"
...' in the device section of the mouse. You *need* to have something like
this:

Option "Protocol"    "wsmouse"
Option "Device"      "/dev/wsmouse"
