Unless a DIOCKLABEL has been done on that disk.  Which mbrlabel
arguably should do, at least optionally, because of exactly this.
(Note: works for sd and wd in 1.4T; in -current, at most sd, wd, ed,
and something atari-specific.  But no others as far as I can tell.
Test before depending on it.)
