I have a T30 (2366-97U).  I had some lockups that I was not able to
track down completely.  In the BIOS, I think I turned off 'PCI bus
power saving'.  (I was having problems with crashes due to coda at the
same time, so it was hard to figure out what happened.)  But on mine,
display off and suspend work fine and always have.  I do have the
'display is blank unless fn-f3, fn in text mode following suspend'
problem, but work around that by switching to a text console before
suspending.
