Subject: postfix: bad file descriptor

I've been running postfix on my 755c ThinkPad for years, 1.6-stable from
October or thereabouts. Postfix has always worked fine, and I've made no
changes recently that I can think of.

The problem is that postfix doesn't start on boot like it has lo these
many months. If I run 'postfix check' I get:

find: /var/spool/postfix/active/9/6: Bad file descriptor

postfix/postfix-script: warning: not owned by postfix:
/var/spool/postfix/active/0/8

find: fts_read: invalid argument

postsuper: fatal: scan_dir_push: open directory active/9/6: permission
denied

The error reported on boot appears to be the same. I'm mildly interested
in why this happened, but I'm more interested in making it go away. Any
ideas on how to clear it?

Thanks.
