I've had a HP 6200c scanner connected to a FreeBSD box for
awhile, and scanimage has never had a problem kicking the scanner
out of sleep mode (which it does, apparently, by default) when I
need to scan. On NetBSD, however, once the scanner's asleep, I
have to unplug it, and replug it in, to wake it up. (The kernel
will also not detect it unless awake).

Is there a software method for activating the scanner? This
unplug/plug business is getting wearisome.
