I've been thinking about the same thing for a while now, a silent pc to
replace the vcr (and to play divx movies) with a freevo-like [1] nice
interface. And of course it should be NetBSD based...

Let me know if you are working on this kind of device, maybe we could
share knowledge about the required hardware and software (and even write
a small howto article?).
