The FreeBSD experience with OO very strongly implies this is a package which
may be best left to committed experts^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hmasochists to make for you
and install as a pre-built. It appears to need GB of disk/swap to build, and
has a dependency chain like the gorgons hair.

I have stayed at the release version from the pre-built apps state, and can
run it fitfully. Its deeply painful, like looking at a beautiful landscape
through dirty broken glasses. Perhaps in another year, its going to be
something you can rely on, in front of an audience, without a frisson of fear
each time you touch a key...

(am I over negative? Is this package stable, reliable, workable for other
people?)
