Over the weekend, something happened to the computer in question, and it 
stopped working. Meaning I couldn't turn it on. There was no sign of a 
fire or smoke, but switching cables around didn't help either. Its only a 
few years old(i386).

I reinstalled netbsd again on another box, and the problems I was facing 
earlier are not showing up as yet.
