Actually, I got the same results from the extra keys on the Compaq IA-1,
which are actually part of the keyboard system.  These keys are mappable
by wscons just fine, but are not seen at all by X.

It seems that wscons is not passing through unknown keycodes to X, and I
don't know how to make it do so.
