I had a quantum atlas II plugged into a

trm0 at pci2 dev 10 function 0: Tekram DC395U, DC315/U (TRM-S1040) Fast20
  Ultra SCSI Adapter

but after it made a nasty grinding noise, I thought I would plug in a

cd1 at scsibus0 target 0 lun 0: <YAMAHA, CRW2260, 1.0g> SCSI2 5/cdrom removable

but get:

tape# mount -t cd9660 -r /dev/cd1a /cdrw
mount_cd9660: /dev/cd1a on /cdrw: Operation not supported by device

Same for cd1d (today's kernel source/i386). Am I doubly unlucky and this
scsi device is up the creek too?

Cheers,

Patrick
