Yes :)

Yes, the first can start at sector 1, head 1 (which usally makes an
offset of 63), but I've got problems, on some machines (not all) with
unaligned partition below the 1024 cyl limit, when it's not the the first
partition. I don't remember the exact message, but the BIOS would even not
load the MBR (which had the NetBSD boot code installed).
