Hi again,

I forgot to post some additional info on my system...
I don't know where my head is at today - this is another monday...
sorry...

Here goes:

Version is NetBSD 1.5.2
running mysql 3.23.25 (the one from the packages)
no other software is running
kernel is still generic

The screen output looks like this:

uvm_fault (0xe384d814, 0x0, 0, 1) -> 1
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped in mysql at pmap_page_remove+0xb7 movL 9x4(%ebx),%edx

Could that be a mysql subject?

Could the fact that IPv6 *and* IPv4 are activated by default in the generic
Kernel be a reason for that?
Sometimes I get connection errors (as seen in the mysql logs) but hardware
and IP setup seem OK...

Maybe finally compiling a custom kernel helps?

Any ideas?

Help is very much appreciated...
<:^)
