Hi!

Has anyone had problems with the lpt(4) driver in 1.5.2?

I have an _OLD_ 75 MHz Pentium box at home that I use as fire wall and
print server. It's been running 1.4P (I think) for ages, without as
much as a hickup. When I got DSL and really needed a fire wall, I
updated it to 1.5.2 to have more modern ipf() code. Since then it just
dies from time to time, typically when I print large PostScript jobs
from Windows over Samba to my HP 4M Plus laser on the parallel port.

It seems to go into kernel debug, but I'm not sure. It's a pain in the
sit-upon to put a console on it, so I thought I'd check with you if
it's known problem before digging deeper into the wire pool behind it,
and the hex codes in the kernel debugger ...

And yeah, it's the GENERIC kernel distributed with 1.5.2.

Any hints gladly received.

				Cheers,
				  /Liman
