how to read EPROM/FLASH image on PC?

i mean how to do it in my own program.

how much address lines are for EPROM/FLASH chip on PC? is it possible to
install 2MB (16Mbit) FLASH (enough for 128kB BIOS image and rest for
modified bootloader and netbsd kernel with md)
