Having taken the GENERIC kernel that came with 1.5.1, and modified as

The when the eap sound driver's being loaded, it's suddenly become very 
"noisy".

It seems to load ok.

But I'm getting this in the boot messages.

audioctl -a seems to be detecting the card ok, but I'm getting similar 
errors.

Does anybody have any ideas what's changed.

The kernel that was installed by default with 1.5.1 doesn't seem to be 
having any problem, and I don't recall any problem with 1.5 Kernels.
