Ah.. Now having sources on my system ..
Fsck_msdos reports a bbad super block (being 0x0000 not 0x55aa).
scandisk.exe thinks the disk is ok. The same happened with a floppy.
After complete format of the floppy (not quick format), this one
was accepted by fsck_msdos. This trick did not help for the harddisk
though. Perhaps this check is bogous. I'll investigate further.
