Accton MPX 5030/5038 10/100BaseTX on irq9, mac is 00:e0:29:84:4e:80. Created
ifconfig.rtk0 yesterday. ifconfig -a indicates card is active and
(correctly) set to 100BTx. Funny thing is NT indicates that the card is
SMC1211 EZ Card, but confirms irq9.

What type of ethernet card have you got? Is it recognized on boot -
can you post e.g. dmesg ?
Is there any /etc/ifconfig.foo0 file on our freshly installed system?
