A SoundBlaster 16 should be enough for this.

It depends which chipset version you get. Older chipset like this one
work perfect:

eap0 at pci0 dev 9 function 0: Ensoniq AudioPCI (rev. 0x01)
eap0: interrupting at irq 9

The NetBSD driver has problems with mixers on newer revision of the chipset
unfortunately.
