Dear people,

Thanks for helping me out.
I made a stupid mistake during the configuration of my custom kernel. I
thought I had set com0 to use IRQ 4 and com1 to use IRQ 5. Unfortunately
om my expansion card I switched these numbers, so com0 was using IRQ 5 and
com1 was using IRQ4.
