NetBSD 1.1 ran fine on my 6MB setup. Without X, of course.

There are two different AmigaOS SANA-2 drivers on Aminet which communicate
through Janus to a packet driver running on the bridgeboard, driving an ISA
NIC. A very kludgy way to get ethernet if you're a cheapskate and have a lot
of space left in your Amiga. I think sources are even available in the
archives.
The packages are called respectively Emunet and Etherbridge. There actually
doesn't seem to any source, though, but you could try asking the authors, of
course. =)
