I upgraded two machines on Friday from 1.3.3 to 1.4.2 and since then I 
have been unable to use the modems that are connected on tty01 (one
machine is internal, the other external). The ttys and remote file are the
same as the original with the E0-4 lines added. 

Any thoughts/hints would be greatly appreciated so I can get back my
regularly scheduled weekend.
