Hello from Gregg C Levine usually with Jedi Knight Computers
As of 00:30L (12:30AM EDT) the X windows port running on the NetBSD I386
port, which is running on the Pentium at 100MHZ, now works. It happens that
it was looking for /dev/mouse. Naturally I would always go along with the
request. And ZAPP!! It would not work. Now, I know for a fact, that
particular /dev item is not included in NetBSD, you would have to create it
yourself. This time I decided to set it to the tty port that corresponded
to COM1: in my other suit. This time was the charm. This version of X looks
much better then the distribution mods included with all of the versions of
Linux that I have tried. Also, the installation process for NetBSD, I find
is easier, and closer to what I am used to. If you guys want a translation,
please feel free to ask.
