		1) Has anyone tried the pre-compiled XFree86 Version 4.x.x -
and
		would it perhaps solve the problem.

		2) Alternatively - could we modify the 'console' or 'ttyE0'
line 
		in '/etc/ttys' so that its 'getty' field is replaced by
something like:
		  '/usr/local/bin/mygetty Pc'  where the latter contains
		something like:
		   wsconscfg .. parameters (what?) ..
		   exec /usr/libexec/getty $1
