I did an install of 1.4.2 on an HP Brio today (GENERIC kernel). I couldn't
get printing to work to the local parallel port. /dev/lpa0 just seemed to
act as a sink (c.f. /dev/null). /dev/lpt0 said ready and printing, but no
data was sent to the printer. Unplugging the lead correctly changed the
status to offline. Tried 2 different printers and 2 different leads.
