I've had problems with the DEC 21143 on arm32 when running full-duplex
at 100mbit. Minimal network traffic simply just uses all the mbufs up
and the machine keels over. I believe that -mediaopt FDX fixes this (at
the expense of full duplex, of course). This did not affect the DEC 21140.

Presumably this affects i386 in the same way.
