I've got a 3Com 3c57B-TX working in my digital HiNote, using all of

  options PCIBIOS
  options PCIBIOSVERBOSE
  options PCIBIOS_INTR_FIXUP
  options PCIBIOS_BUS_FIXUP

It hangs on cold boots, in Windoze too, but after repeated trys it
will come up, and then I can restart every time without errors.

I usually boot 'doze, insert the cards, and then restart. It freezes
hard in operation from time to time, but not lately (1.4P). Hot
swapping doesn't work either--freezes hard.

Also have a Mhz XJ 33.6 modem. Hot swapping works, but the card has to
be inserted already for the boot.
