How's this for a test:

P60, NetBSD 1.3  100base DEC 21140A
PII-300, NetBSD 1.4  Same 100base DEC 21140A
PII-400, NetBSD 1.4  100base 3Com 3c905B-TX
Both DEC cards are the older NetGear NIC's.
Nearly identical IDE drives, except PII-400 being Adaptec
2940/UW SCSI with SCSI drives.

P60 Port 1 of Cisco 100base hub
PII-300 Port 2 of hub.
PII-400 Port 3 of hub
Hub dedicated while running test.
===========================
PII-300 ftp's to PII-400 and get's 180MB file:
183997730 bytes received in 21.63 seconds (8.11 MB/s)

P60 ftp's to PII-300 and get's same 180MB file:
183997730 bytes received in 00:39 (4.44 MB/s)

PII-300 ftp's to P60 and get's same 180MB file:
183997730 bytes received in 236.29 seconds (760.45 KB/s)

As you can see, the P60 makes an impressive ftp client,
but not a very good ftp server. That same P60 actually
hosts 8 player Quake2 dedicated server quite well
also.  =)

Hope this helps,
Steve
